Senior Manager, Safety, Risk & Compliance (Logistics)

Salary: $130,000–$140,000 per year, plus equity

hirify.global is a rapidly growing Los Angeles-based technology and logistics startup building operational infrastructure for autonomous and non-autonomous rideshare fleets.

What you will do

• Own company-wide driver and workplace safety programs, policies, training, audits, and risk-reduction initiatives.
• Lead workers’ compensation, employee injury reporting, claims oversight, investigations, return-to-work programs, and accommodations.
• Oversee workplace injuries, vehicle accidents, safety incidents, and near misses; conduct root-cause analysis and coordinate corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and other federal, state, and local workplace safety requirements.
• Manage background check and drug and alcohol screening programs, vendors, adjudication criteria, and testing processes.
• Prepare safety and risk compliance programs for new operating locations and report key safety, claims, screening, training, and corrective-action metrics to leadership.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety, Risk Management, Workers’ Compensation, Transportation Safety, or a related field.
• Experience supporting large hourly, driver, logistics, transportation, or multi-site workforces.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA/Cal-OSHA, workers’ compensation, injury management, and workplace safety requirements.
• Experience managing workers’ compensation claims, employee injuries, return-to-work programs, and external vendors.
• Experience administering background checks and drug and alcohol screening programs, including FCRA, fair chance, and DOT or non-DOT testing requirements.
• Strong incident investigation, root-cause analysis, risk-reduction, communication, and cross-functional partnership skills.
