Senior Purchasing Agent (Residential Construction)

Location: Dallas, TX, United States; hybrid

Estimated base salary: $100,000–$110,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Bid new and existing home products, analyze pricing, award contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
• Manage purchase order, variation purchase order, budget, approval, adjustment, variance analysis, and reporting processes.
• Negotiate material and trade costs while improving quality and structuring agreements for company value.
• Recruit, vet, award, and review subcontractors and trade partners, building long-term partnerships.
• Attend home and prototype walks, manage blueprint changes and templates, and support cross-functional product development.
• Maintain procurement data integrity and use hirify.global's proprietary technology to manage workflows and improve efficiency.

Requirements

• 5+ years of purchasing or related experience in custom or production homebuilding.
• Experience with material sourcing, vendor relationships, bid administration, pricing analysis, and contract awards.
• Familiarity with MEP systems, local building codes, architectural and construction documents, and residential project integration.
• Estimating experience with tools such as PlanSwift or On-Screen Takeoff.
• Strong proficiency with Google Sheets or Excel, plus excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with Growth, Construction Operations, and Finance while managing multiple projects.

Nice to have

• Degree in Construction Management, Building Sciences, or a related field.
