Salary: $90,000–$115,000 per year, depending on qualifications; year-end bonus eligibility

What you will do

  • Integrate, test, debug, and deliver spacecraft electronics for customer projects.
  • Serve as the responsible engineer and subject matter expert for build-to-print unit testing.
  • Perform test conductor activities and troubleshoot hardware using standard laboratory equipment.
  • Implement engineering changes to schematics, bills of materials, and related documentation.
  • Review production travelers and test procedures, and clarify test flows.
  • Analyze production metrics and lead efforts to improve production yield.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 2–5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience producing, integrating, and testing electronics, especially digital circuits, processors, FPGAs, and power supplies.
  • Ability to read digital and analog schematics and troubleshoot complex electronics from component level through system functionality.
  • Experience with disciplined testing, root cause analysis, quality control, and configuration management for mission-critical hardware.
  • Ability to read and edit software test scripts and extract, analyze, and document test data.
  • US citizenship required.

Nice to have

  • Digital or analog design experience, including functional descriptions, assembly instructions, test plans, and test results.
  • Experience with spacecraft hardware and electronics assembly and testing.
  • Proficiency with C++ and a scripting language such as Lua or Python.
  • Familiarity with schematic, bill of material, ERP, work order, assembly traveler, and laboratory data-management tools.
