What you will do

  • Own engine or vehicle hardware from design release through build, test, and delivery.
  • Develop build flows, work instructions, test procedures, and production documentation for repeatable execution.
  • Support first-article builds and provide hands-on floor support during manufacturing and testing.
  • Investigate hardware issues, resolve non-conformances, and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate design, supply chain, production, and test teams on part readiness, tooling, schedules, and handoffs.
  • Contribute to manufacturing systems and infrastructure, including tooling strategies and ERP/MES workflows.

Requirements

  • Engineering or related technical degree with at least 2 years of hands-on experience building and testing hardware in a manufacturing or integration environment.
  • Experience investigating hardware issues, resolving non-conformances, and performing root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of assembly and test procedures, tolerance stack-up analysis, structural proof testing, and pressurized leak checks.
  • Ability to collaborate across design, manufacturing, supply chain, and test functions.
  • Proficiency in GD&T, CAD, and basic design or test analysis.
  • Experience in at least two areas including LOX cleanliness, leak checking, sensor checkouts, tube bending, tool design, crane operations, or subassembly builds.

Nice to have

  • Experience with aerospace product introduction or transitioning hardware from prototype to production.
  • Experience authoring and executing test procedures or serving as a test conductor for integrated system verification.
  • Familiarity with hazardous operations, fluid system safety, or pressurized and high-risk test environments.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, vendor engagement, tool development, or leading small teams.
