Senior Java Software Engineer (Bank Technology)

Location: Saint Petersburg, Florida, United States; hybrid schedule with three in-office days per week

What you will do

• Build and support API integration components for the Fiserv Signature Domestic core banking platform.
• Develop and enhance web applications using Java, Oracle, and Angular technologies.
• Design, code, test, deploy, maintain, and support application software across the full SDLC.
• Analyze business and system requirements, define technical solutions, estimate work, and identify system interfaces.
• Perform integration testing, document results, validate deployments, and prepare technical specifications.
• Collaborate with IT analysts, lead engineers, and business users during testing and production support.

Requirements

• Three to six years of experience designing, developing, and supporting scalable, data-driven, multi-tier applications.
• Strong Java/J2EE programming skills and experience across all stages of the SDLC.
• Experience building and consuming JSON-based RESTful APIs.
• Working knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, and ORM, preferably Hibernate.
• Experience with TFS or JIRA, DevOps, Jenkins, Git, JUnit, Splunk, Postman, and Swagger.
• Bachelor's degree in computer and information science, computer engineering, or data science, or the required high school education.

Nice to have

• Financial industry experience and Oracle database experience.
• Experience with job scheduling tools and AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude.
• Angular 16 or later, HTML5, CSS, and TypeScript experience.
