ProGov PKI SME Associate Director

Location: Hybrid role with duty stations in Manassas, VA, and Alexandria, VA; US citizenship required. Work includes in-person office and client-site attendance, with some remote flexibility subject to approval.

What you will do

• Provide PKI subject-matter expertise, analysis, communications, compliance support, and coordination for federal clients.
• Attend federal and industry PKI meetings, working groups, and forums, and communicate relevant updates to client teams.
• Analyze and maintain PKI policies, federal guidance, OMB memoranda, NIST publications, RFCs, and CA/Browser Forum standards.
• Lead technical and business writing, including requirements documents, technical guides, policy roadmaps, newsletters, status reports, white papers, and executive briefings.
• Support FPKI community activities, strategic planning, CIO Council initiatives, infrastructure operations, and government organizations.
• Lead engagements, manage client relationships, oversee project work plans, mentor teams, and identify business development opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Business Administration or Information Systems.
• US citizenship required; foreign nationals are not eligible.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance required.
• At least 15 years of PKI policy experience, including experience operating PKI or serving in a PKI trusted role.
• Experience with HSPD-12, FIPS 201-2, PIV or PIV-I cards, audit reports, compliance standards, and federal policies.
• Strong written and verbal communication, client relationship, leadership, supervisory, business development, and Microsoft Office skills.

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as CISSP, USACE, or a similar credential.
• Experience with Visio and Access.
