Project Manager (Fed Gov) (PLM/Digital Thread)

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. Work is performed at Sandia National Laboratories on the Kirtland Air Force Base campus, with on-site work required as needed and some remote/hybrid flexibility subject to contract and security requirements. Occasional travel may be required.

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary technical teams delivering enterprise PLM, CAD data management, and ALM initiatives.
• Manage task-order schedules, milestones, resources, risks, deliverables, and reporting in Agile and hybrid environments.
• Coordinate government task managers, Sandia National Laboratories personnel, engineering stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and implementation leads.
• Facilitate system integration, configuration management, cutover, sprint planning, status reviews, and retrospectives.
• Maintain project documentation, including work breakdown structures, risk and issue logs, resource plans, and quality protocols.
• Support production deployments, escalations, process improvements, and compliance with federal, DOE/NNSA, NTESS, security, safety, and quality requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5–10 years of senior or 10–15 years of principal technical project management experience.
• Experience managing projects in DOE, NNSA, National Laboratory, defense, aerospace, or similarly regulated environments.
• Experience with enterprise PLM, 3D CAD data management, or ALM software environments.
• Familiarity with PTC Windchill, PDMLink, CodeBeamer, Creo, Teamcenter, Enovia, Azure DevOps, or Jira-based ALM environments.
• Strong experience with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project management, technical stakeholder communication, risk management, and geographically distributed teams.
• Eligibility for Sandia site access and potential DOE Q or L security clearance processing is required; U.S. citizenship or another specified citizenship status may be required depending on task-order scope.

Nice to have

• Active PMP or CSM certification.
• Experience with Digital Thread, MBSE, Digital Engineering Transformation, federal contracting, FAR/DEAR compliance, or government task-order models.
• Knowledge of DOE/NNSA security protocols, OPSEC, CUI handling, NIST, CMMI, or ISO frameworks.
• Experience with Q, L, or equivalent personnel security clearances and an advanced technical degree.
