Technical Product Manager (AI)

Location: Edmonton, Canada; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Own the technical product roadmap for the AltaForge platform.
• Make decisions about platform capabilities, costs, model performance, shared libraries, observability, and sovereign workloads.
• Lead technical discovery and research into product architecture with engineering teams.
• Evaluate technical products and frameworks through hands-on validation and rapid spikes using AI tools.
• Track agentic programming trends and incorporate relevant capabilities into the product roadmap.
• Partner with internal developers and engineers to build a platform that supports external client solutions.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a software engineer, with real systems shipped and maintained.
• Experience managing products from a technical perspective.
• Experience with agentic systems and LLM applications.
• Experience in observability, developer tooling, or platform work for developer users.
• Hands-on experience with AI tooling, including Claude, agents, and Claude Code.
• Ability to make and explain technical decisions while incorporating engineers' perspectives.

Nice to have

• Experience with knowledge graphs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
• Experience with enterprise or public-sector clients, including security and procurement requirements.
