Senior Configuration Analyst (DevOps)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates from California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Washington will not be considered. U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI).

Salary: $74,325–$82,500 per year

What you will do

• Support Veterans Affairs applications and lead migration activities to the cloud.
• Develop and maintain configuration management tools for internally developed and commercial software.
• Perform configuration management and release engineering across multiple environments.
• Design automated productivity tools, build procedures, and repeatable deployment processes.
• Establish configuration standards and train developers on configuration management and quality practices.
• Provide technical guidance, investigate complex delivery issues, and mentor junior analysts and engineers.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading complex software builds and releases across multiple environments.
• Deep expertise in software configuration management, release engineering, baselining, change control, and status accounting.
• Experience with Git, GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps Repos, Subversion, branching strategies, and merging.
• Experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Nexus, Artifactory, Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field with 10+ years of relevant experience; eight or more years may substitute for education.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for Public Trust (MBI) are required.

Nice to have

• ITIL Foundation, CMII, or equivalent configuration management certification.
• Experience with EDI X.12 medical claims, HL7, or FHIR.
