Principal Engineer - Product (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Design, characterize, qualify, and support discrete semiconductor products.
• Drive yield and quality improvements, cost reduction, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with foundry, test, manufacturing, quality, supplier, and subcontractor teams.
• Qualify materials and electronic packages and support new product qualification.
• Create and review assembly, screening, product, BOM, and data-sheet documentation.
• Provide customer-facing engineering support and mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience, ideally in semiconductor manufacturing and discrete-device product engineering.
• Hands-on experience testing and analyzing AC/DC electrical parameters for diodes, transistors, and MOSFETs.
• Experience with radiation effects and testing, including TID, SEE, and ELDRS.
• Experience with root-cause analysis, failure analysis, troubleshooting, and military standards including MIL-PRF-19500, MIL-STD-750, and MIL-STD-883.
• Must provide proof of US citizenship, permanent US residency, or protected-individual status under US export-control requirements.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma, FMEA, DMEA, 5-whys, and statistical analysis experience.
• JMP, Minitab, SPICE modeling, and parameter extraction.
• LabVIEW, Silvaco TCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS, and Microsoft Office experience.
