What you will do
- Architect and design high-reliability power electronics including DC-DC converters, inverters, and motor drives.
- Perform circuit design, simulation, component selection, and guide PCB layout, thermal, and EMI/EMC considerations.
- Lead hardware bring-up, integration, debug, verification, and qualification activities.
- Develop and review specifications, design reviews, test plans, and verification documentation.
- Solve complex technical issues using structured root-cause analysis.
- Provide technical mentorship and design guidance to less experienced engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience designing power electronics for high-reliability applications.
- Strong experience with DC-DC power converters and power semiconductor devices (MOSFET).
- Proficiency with schematic capture, PCB design tools, and simulation software like SPICE or MATLAB.
- Must be able to access U.S. export-controlled information.
- Must be based in or able to work onsite in Phoenix, AZ.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering or Power Electronics.
- Experience with radiation-tolerant or radiation-hardened electronics for space applications.
- Experience with SiC, GaN, or IGBT technologies.
- Background in motor control, FMEA/MTBF reliability analysis, or system integration.
