What you will do

  • Architect and design high-reliability power electronics including DC-DC converters, inverters, and motor drives.
  • Perform circuit design, simulation, component selection, and guide PCB layout, thermal, and EMI/EMC considerations.
  • Lead hardware bring-up, integration, debug, verification, and qualification activities.
  • Develop and review specifications, design reviews, test plans, and verification documentation.
  • Solve complex technical issues using structured root-cause analysis.
  • Provide technical mentorship and design guidance to less experienced engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience designing power electronics for high-reliability applications.
  • Strong experience with DC-DC power converters and power semiconductor devices (MOSFET).
  • Proficiency with schematic capture, PCB design tools, and simulation software like SPICE or MATLAB.
  • Must be able to access U.S. export-controlled information.
  • Must be based in or able to work onsite in Phoenix, AZ.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering or Power Electronics.
  • Experience with radiation-tolerant or radiation-hardened electronics for space applications.
  • Experience with SiC, GaN, or IGBT technologies.
  • Background in motor control, FMEA/MTBF reliability analysis, or system integration.
