Supervisor, Operations (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Aurora, Illinois, United States. Monday through Friday, leading a team operating from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; extended shifts and weekend oversight may be required.

Salary: $71,500–$95,000 per year, dependent on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Lead production operators, equipment staffing, workflow coordination, and daily shift execution for CMP Pads Manufacturing.
• Champion safe work practices, partner with EHS on training, and monitor adherence to procedures, restrictions, cleanliness, and hazard controls.
• Train, support, evaluate, and develop production employees while documenting performance and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineering, management, and cross-functional partners to maintain efficient operations across shifts.
• Monitor production output and quality, support defect investigations, recommend corrective actions, and reduce scrap.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma methods, including Kanban, 6S, PDCA, and visual management, to improve planning, material flow, efficiency, and schedule attainment.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading a team and strong knowledge of manufacturing principles.
• Strong organizational, planning, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work extended shift hours when business needs require.
• Working knowledge of production-related ERP/MRP systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.
• Five or more years of supervisory experience.
• Experience monitoring schedule attainment, daily output, machine efficiency, material availability, and tool readiness.
• Knowledge of CNC machining, web lamination, COBOTs, basic metrology, and Six Sigma methodologies.
