TL;DR
Production Supervisor (Thermoplastics): Supervising production operations and hourly teams in an advanced materials factory with an accent on safety, quality, production scheduling, and continuous improvement. Location: Amesbury, Massachusetts, USA; regular attendance on company premises is required

Salary: $80,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do

  • Supervise hourly production employees, assign work, and execute production schedules across all shifts.
  • Coach team members and drive performance in safety, quality, customer satisfaction, productivity, inventory, cost control, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead safety activities, including hazard identification, training, audits, meetings, and accident investigations.
  • Support the Quality Management System through audits, documentation, training, corrective actions, and quality investigations.
  • Coordinate with factory leadership and cross-functional teams on staffing, equipment, safety, and manufacturing progress.
  • Conduct performance reviews, manage attendance, support hiring and onboarding, and assess new employees during probation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; advanced technical training or higher education preferred.
  • Five or more years of supervisory production experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel; ERP/MRP experience preferred.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving, facilitation, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to federal government contract restrictions.

Nice to have

  • Lean and/or Six Sigma certification.
  • Advanced technical training or higher education.
  • ERP/MRP experience.
