Sr Field Technical Specialist (HVAC)

Location: New Jersey, United States; requires onsite service, training, installation support, jobsite visits, and travel of up to 75%.

Salary: $90,000–$110,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Develop regional service support strategies and manage aftermarket support activities through the LG Preferred Service Champion Program.
• Provide technical guidance by phone, email, and case support to HVAC contractors, distributors, manufacturer representatives, building owners, and general contractors.
• Interpret wiring schematics and refrigerant circuit diagrams and troubleshoot LG VRF, residential, commercial, and light commercial systems.
• Coordinate escalated technical issues with Technical Support, Engineering, Controls, and Escalation teams, including jobsite visits and supervised technical assistance.
• Conduct onsite service, installation support, classroom training, and jobsite training for LG sales channel partners.
• Perform equipment software and hardware updates, review warranty submissions, support rework projects, and contribute to technical documentation and service bulletins.

Requirements

• 15–20 years of experience in HVAC or technical support, including 3–5 years supporting LG VRF and RLC systems.
• HVAC vocational diploma, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience managing regions and service champions and executing service support strategies.
• Strong LG product knowledge, troubleshooting, documentation, planning, analytical, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and analyze technical procedures, professional journals, wiring schematics, and refrigerant circuit diagrams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and willingness to travel up to 75%.
