Senior HVAC Service Technician

Location: East Syracuse, New York; field-based work at customer locations, primarily serving St. Lawrence and Franklin Counties

Salary: $34.37–$53.18 per hour

What you will do

• Perform end-to-end testing, programming downloads, startup, commissioning, maintenance, and service for assigned HVAC projects.
• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC equipment and systems at customer locations while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with team leaders, project managers, customers, and internal and external partners on installations, retrofits, repairs, materials, and site requirements.
• Use service software, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Enforce high safety standards and maintain accurate records of company assets and equipment conditions.
• Mentor team members and work overtime or occasional overnight stays when business needs require.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a certificate from an accredited technical school.
• Typically at least 10 years of HVAC experience; technical school or formal training is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld computers such as smartphones or tablets.
• Valid driver's license held for at least 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations or preventable collisions within the previous three years.
• EPA certification, such as HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, or Gas Installer certification, is preferred.
• Ability to work in a field-based role at customer locations in the designated service area.
