Associate Booking Producer, MS NOW The Briefing with Jen Psaki

Location: Washington, D.C.; must be willing to work in Washington, D.C. Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States is required.

Salary: $75,000–$80,000 per year

What you will do

• Book national and international newsmakers, experts, and guests, with a focus on politics.
• Conduct pre-interviews, secure facilities for remote interviews, and arrange guest transportation.
• Coordinate guest arrivals and communicate with the control room and studio.
• Arrange interviews for live broadcasts, breaking news, and special-event coverage.
• Enterprise, conceptualize, and pitch story and guest ideas.
• Collaborate with producers, assignment editors, booking teams, graphics, research, digital, and technical operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in television news, live television, cable news, or a comparable newsroom environment.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. politics, current events, and the political news cycle.
• Strong research, writing, organizational, communication, and social media skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced newsroom.
• Must be willing to work in Washington, D.C., have unrestricted U.S. work authorization, and work flexible hours during breaking news.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Avid, Media Central, and iNews.
• Experience with cable news and live broadcast production.
