Platform Manager (Newscast Producer)

Location: Washington, D.C.; full-time on-site work at an hirify.global-designated worksite is required.

Salary: $90,000–$105,000 per year.

What you will do

• Own editorial content for one or more WRC platforms and serve as a primary line producer for assigned daily newscasts.
• Select relevant local stories with content producers, the executive producer, and assignment editor.
• Coordinate production teams to deliver smooth and seamless newscasts.
• Integrate social, digital, streaming, and OTT content into broadcasts and produce content for sister station Telemundo 44.
• Write, produce, edit video, and gather content across platforms.
• Manage, coach, and mentor content producers while upholding fairness, accuracy, and balance.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience producing daily newscasts.
• At least 3 years of experience writing, producing, and editing video on desktop.
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or equivalent work experience.
• Must be willing to work in Washington, D.C., and perform the role full-time on site.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Availability for overnight and morning shifts, holidays, and weekends is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in newsgathering, broadcast, streaming, mobile, or social media production.
• Experience in a major television market, web-based news service, or as an executive producer in a mid-sized market.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to step into the executive producer role when needed.
• Spanish language skills.
