Senior Java/Spring Backend Engineer (Synthetic Data/AI Team)

Location: Prague, Czechia preferred; remote work is possible from Spain or the UK.

hirify.global is a research technology company operating a large programmatic marketplace that connects survey data with business and advertising research.

What you will do

• Design and build services and APIs connecting the Synthetic Data Platform to the hirify.global Exchange.
• Develop production integrations with third-party survey hosting platforms, from initial API calls through reliable customer-facing connectors.
• Build ingestion pipelines that normalize questionnaires and response data for AI/ML models.
• Maintain data quality, consent, privacy, throughput, latency, cost, monitoring, and reliability across integration surfaces.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, and the product manager on the Synthetic Data roadmap and customer pilots.
• Use Claude Code and other agentic programming tools where appropriate.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional backend software development experience, preferably with Java.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience building and operating production services, APIs, and data pipelines at scale.
• Familiarity with SQL and proven experience as a software developer.
• Ability to take ownership of technical conclusions, present them, and shape outcomes.
• Prague is the preferred base; remote work is available from Spain or the UK.

Nice to have

• AWS, Kubernetes, Spring, Kafka, or Kinesis experience.
• Knowledge of Databricks.
• Exposure to AI/ML development, model libraries such as XGBoost, LightGBM, or CatBoost, or LLMs.
