Sr. Real Estate Risk Analyst (Commercial Real Estate)

Location: Atlanta, GA; expected onsite presence an average of 3–5 days per week

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 annual base salary, plus potential incentive opportunities

What you will do

• Manage and analyze credit risk, performance, valuation trends, concentration risk, maturity profiles, and emerging risks across a $15B+ commercial real estate debt portfolio.
• Perform annual loan underwriting and credit reviews covering property cash flow, collateral quality, refinancing risk, borrower performance, and key credit metrics.
• Assign and monitor credit ratings, analyze rating migration, identify watchlist loans, and detect early credit deterioration.
• Conduct stress testing, scenario analysis, and portfolio surveillance to identify potential problem loans.
• Develop portfolio dashboards, risk analytics tools, quarterly review materials, and executive-level reporting.
• Support audits, portfolio analytics initiatives, surveys, reporting automation, and scalable portfolio management tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; relevant fields include real estate, finance, accounting, economics, business, or data analytics.
• 3–6 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, accounting, credit risk, portfolio analytics, asset management, valuation, investment analysis, or a related field.
• Experience analyzing accounting reports and assessing financial, operational, or investment risk.
• Strong analytical, written, interpersonal, and communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to senior leadership and investment committees.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Understanding of commercial mortgage loans, real estate fundamentals, financial statements, valuation methodologies, and credit metrics.

Nice to have

• Experience with data management, reporting automation, AI platforms, workflow improvement, or advanced analytics tools.
• Exposure to portfolio monitoring, credit ratings, loan surveillance, stress testing, or risk management frameworks.
