Location: New York, NY; must be willing to work in New York and have unrestricted work authorization in the United States

Salary: $93,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do

• Research, report, and write daily segments for Money, Power, Politics.
• Develop and suggest interview questions and pitch story ideas.
• Determine video and sound elements for assigned segments.
• Communicate daily story development with the senior producer and participate in editorial planning.
• Work in the control room during live broadcasts.
• Create content for digital platforms, social media, and MS NOW direct-to-consumer products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of journalism experience in cable or network news, websites, newspapers, or a related setting.
• Strong writing, research, and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of American politics and the ability to meet daily script deadlines.
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY and have unrestricted United States work authorization.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including breaking-news coverage, under tight deadline pressure.

Nice to have

• Experience developing and planning segments, booking guests, and working with graphics and video elements.
• Exceptional editorial judgment and knowledge of current events, politics, and pop culture.
• Proficiency in tape and desktop editing.
• Edit room and breaking-news experience.
