Social Sports Creator & Host, NBC Bay Area

Location: Full-time onsite at an hirify.global-designated worksite in San Jose, California, United States

Salary: $85,000–$130,000 per year

What you will do

• Pitch, report, shoot, write, and edit social-first content about Bay Area teams, athletes, fans, events, and sports culture.
• Cover breaking news, games, practices, press conferences, fan events, and other assigned stories.
• Host a weekly NBC Bay Area sports show and contribute to interviews, podcasts, streaming programs, and television coverage.
• Conduct interviews with athletes, coaches, executives, fans, and other personalities.
• Collaborate with sports, newsroom, production, digital, photography, marketing, sales, and creative teams.
• Create sponsored content integrations, engage Bay Area sports fans, and represent NBC Bay Area and Telemundo 48 at events and community appearances.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of sports, Bay Area teams, and local fan culture, with credible and authentic on-camera delivery.
• Ability to independently report, shoot, write, and edit short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or similar platforms.
• Strong writing, communication, editorial judgment, accuracy, and fairness.
• Comfortable appearing on camera across mobile video, podcasts, streaming, and television.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and changing schedules based on the sports calendar and breaking news.
• Required to work full-time onsite at an hirify.global-designated worksite.

Nice to have

• Experience with live reporting or live digital/video production.
• Background in social media, sports media, journalism, podcasting, YouTube, entertainment, comedy, or another creator-driven field.
• Spanish bilingual ability.
