TL;DR
Power Solution Architect (Power Systems): Designing and optimizing scalable electrical power delivery architectures for industrial, data center, and enterprise applications with an accent on reliability, standards compliance, and microgrid applications. Focus on interpreting project specifications, selecting power equipment, supporting pre-sales proposals, and driving technical innovation across engineering and commercial teams.

Location: Remote within the United States; travel is required. The role supports the US West region, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

What you will do

  • Provide technical pre-sales support for regional business development, proposals, RFIs, and RFPs.
  • Interpret project specifications and guide estimation and design teams.
  • Develop scalable, standards-compliant power system architectures focused on performance, reliability, and operational goals.
  • Evaluate power equipment and components, recommend design optimizations, and develop alternative solutions.
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and thermal engineering teams to refine customer solutions.
  • Represent technical solutions at industry events, mentor teams, and support training and digital transformation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • 5+ years of experience in power system architecture.
  • Experience with electrical power-distribution OEM equipment and microgrid applications.
  • Expertise in UL, IEEE standards, and relevant industry practices.
  • Experience with power equipment sales or commercial collaboration, vendor engagement, and innovation leadership.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills; candidates must be located in the United States.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer license.
