Lead Electrical Engineer (Electrical Safety)

What you will do

• Provide consulting support for electrical safety programs across hirify.global plant sites and lines of business.
• Support the design, startup, maintenance, performance, and reliability of electrical systems and equipment from 480 V through 35 kV.
• Specify electrical equipment in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• Provide technical support to plant operations and capital projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Plan and direct E&I personnel during manufacturing facility startups and coordinate field troubleshooting activities.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering.
• 15 or more years of experience in the chemical process or related industries, including electrical equipment and electrical safety programs.
• Knowledge of electrical design, area classification, cable routing, technical drawings, and utility interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations, including NEC, NFPA, UL, FM, and NETA.
• Advanced experience with short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies, specifically using SKM Power Tools Software.
• Medium-voltage cable expertise, including cable splicing and termination, plus fault analysis and electrical equipment testing.
