Specialist EH&S (Environmental Health & Safety)

Location: Montgomery, New York, United States; travel up to 30% within and outside the state.

Salary: $73,000–$110,000 annual, plus bonus and/or incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead the implementation of employee health and safety programs, policies, management systems, and strategies across assigned facilities.
• Partner with local leadership to maintain compliant safety programs, audits, and incident-reduction initiatives.
• Support incident investigations and coordinate follow-up with HR and Workers’ Compensation representatives.
• Ensure regulatory and safety training is completed and lead training sessions and Safety Committee meetings.
• Complete annual environmental and safety regulatory reporting and maintain compliance documentation.
• Support hazardous material management, corporate responsibility initiatives, and EHS communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Business, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and applying OSHA 10, OSHA 30, environmental, and safety regulations.
• Ability to work in indoor, hot, cold, wet, noisy, dusty, fume-filled, and mechanically, electrically, or chemically hazardous environments.
• Ability to travel up to 30% for business purposes.

Nice to have

• Current First Aid, CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens, or AED certification.
• EHS certifications or training such as OSHA 10-hour, OSHA 30-hour, ASP, CSP, or CIH.
• Experience with safety and environmental compliance management.
• Bilingual English and Spanish skills.
