Focus on supporting air and water permitting, improving EHS&S and Process Safety Management Systems, and partnering with operational teams to scale safe manufacturing processes.

Location: Moses Lake, Washington, United States; onsite

Salary: $128,000–$162,000 annual base pay, plus potential benefits, perks, and equity.

What you will do

  • Oversee environmental, health, safety, process safety, and sustainability activities at the Moses Lake research, battery operations, development, and manufacturing facility.
  • Develop and implement programs that strengthen safety engagement, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement.
  • Support air and water permitting and maintain compliance with local and federal requirements.
  • Advise managers and employees on EHS&S matters, technical issues, training needs, and incidents.
  • Coordinate with the property management company to align site requirements with operational needs.
  • Improve EHS&S and Process Safety Management Systems in collaboration with operational teams and share best practices.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of EHS&S experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in safety and occupational health, a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong leadership, listening, communication, analytical, mentoring, and change-management skills.
  • Experience driving organization-wide engagement in safety and health.
  • Experience with industrial workplace hazards, hazardous materials, occupational safety programs, process scaling, and new-tool design.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, Washington DOSH, NFPA, fire codes, CGA standards, and Washington State Department of Ecology regulations.

Nice to have

  • High-volume manufacturing experience in semiconductors, photovoltaic technology, chemicals, batteries, or a similar industry.
