Design Systems Lead

Location: Brazil; remote home-office position

What you will do

• Direct the UX/UI strategy across web and native mobile channels for a major retail e-commerce transformation.
• Establish and govern shared design-system tokens, components, and interaction patterns across SAP Commerce Cloud, Angular, and Flutter.
• Oversee high-intent user journeys including checkout, product detail pages, search, and loyalty features.
• Partner with client executives, product owners, engineers, and designers through workshops, design reviews, and usability validation.
• Lead design sprint planning and deliver build-ready artifacts, annotated specifications, and knowledge handoffs.
• Mentor designers and integrate mobile-first, AI-assisted, personalization, and store-companion patterns into the core experience.

Requirements

• 8+ years of digital product design experience, including 3+ years in a Lead or Principal Design role.
• Experience designing large-scale omnichannel retail and e-commerce experiences, including checkout, product detail pages, cart, search, and mobile-first journeys.
• Proven ability to create, maintain, and scale enterprise design systems with design tokens and shared pattern libraries for web and native mobile platforms.
• Expert-level Figma skills, including variables, auto-layout, advanced prototyping, component libraries, and developer handoff workflows.
• Strong understanding of frontend capabilities and constraints across Angular/Spartacus storefronts and Flutter mobile applications.
• Exceptional presentation, facilitation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted UX patterns, sizing recommendations, or personalization engines.
• Background in store-companion or BOPIS experiences.
