TL;DR
Senior UI/UX Designer (AI) (generative AI and enterprise software): Designing intelligent, trustworthy experiences across Intermedia products, including copilots, conversational interfaces, recommendations, summarization, and agentic workflows with an accent on UX strategy, interaction design, and responsible AI. Focus on translating complex AI capabilities into understandable interactions, designing user control and transparency patterns, and evolving scalable design systems.
Location: Portugal; fully remote

What you will do
- Design AI-powered experiences across web, desktop, mobile, and administrative interfaces, including copilots, assistants, recommendations, summarization, and agentic workflows.
- Own product-design initiatives from discovery and research through prototyping, implementation, launch, and post-launch optimization.
- Translate complex AI functionality into simple interactions with clear prompts, suggestions, generated content, confirmations, feedback, and human intervention.
- Design trustworthy AI experiences that communicate system behavior, recommendations, uncertainty, errors, and completed or intended actions.
- Contribute reusable design-system patterns for conversational interfaces, AI actions, status indicators, feedback mechanisms, and agentic workflows.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, AI/ML, Research, Security, Privacy, Legal, and other design teams while mentoring designers and facilitating workshops.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional UI/UX, Product Design, or Interaction Design experience, ideally with complex SaaS or enterprise software.
- Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design, complex workflows, interaction design, and problem solving.
- Strong knowledge of usability, UX/UI, interaction design, information architecture, accessibility, and human factors.
- Experience with user research, usability testing, Product Management, Engineering, and Agile software development.
- Strong proficiency with Figma, prototyping tools, and modern design-system practices.
- Practical understanding of generative AI, machine learning, large language models, conversational UX, AI agents, prompts, uncertainty, hallucinations, trust, transparency, privacy, and user control.
Nice to have
- Experience with enterprise communications, collaboration, contact center, productivity, or workflow-automation products.
- Experience designing AI copilots, assistants, conversational interfaces, agentic workflows, voice, or multimodal interfaces.
- Experience with large-scale design systems, inclusive design, HTML/CSS, or AI-assisted design and prototyping tools.
- Experience working with globally distributed Product and Engineering teams.
