Head Compounding Pharmacist

What you will do

• Lead the strategic development and growth of compounding capabilities.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate compounding pharmacists and technicians.
• Perform and document compounding, dispensing, and quality assurance and quality control checks.
• Review materials, oversee equipment calibration and maintenance, and monitor the compounding environment.
• Collaborate with R&D teams on new compounded formulations and scale-up activities.
• Develop and evaluate standard operating procedures while coordinating personnel, compliance, and regulatory matters with the Pharmacist-in-Charge.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy or bachelor's degree in pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Active pharmacist license in the state of Ohio.
• Experience with pharmacy and compounding equipment, including knowledge of USP 795, USP 800, other USP chapters, and best compounding practices.
• Knowledge of FDA, state pharmacy board, pharmacy, safety, and HIPAA requirements.
• Ability to complete respirator fit testing, wear required PPE, lift at least 25 pounds, and stand or work in varied positions for extended periods.
• Empathetic leadership experience with in-person pharmacist and technician teams, plus proficiency with Windows-based computer systems.
