Staff Software Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Tel Aviv, Israel; hybrid with 3 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Design, build, and scale high-performance software for the Identity Security Posture Management platform.
• Drive architectural best practices and resolve systemic performance and architecture challenges.
• Research cloud, SaaS ecosystems, and AI agents to develop proactive detection models, mitigation strategies, and threat intelligence.
• Improve code quality, testing standards, monitoring, and technical documentation across engineering teams.
• Translate complex security requirements into scalable solutions in partnership with Product and R&D.
• Mentor engineers and promote technical standards and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on Python experience focused on backend architecture and scalable systems.
• Experience developing security products, conducting security research, or handling threat and incident response.
• Proven experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of software design patterns, system architecture, problem solving, and technical leadership.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly across teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake or other modern data warehousing platforms.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and modern cloud-native architectures.
