What you will do

• Analyze manufacturing, process, equipment, metrology, quality, and yield data to identify trends, anomalies, correlations, and root causes.
• Develop and validate analytics, machine learning, and predictive models for process monitoring, excursion detection, yield prediction, defect analysis, and tool health monitoring.
• Build proof-of-concepts and scalable analytical solutions for thermal compression bonding and advanced packaging manufacturing.
• Support advanced process control initiatives, including process stability and manufacturing optimization.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and automated analysis tools for faster engineering and manufacturing decisions.
• Collaborate with process, equipment, metrology, quality, and manufacturing engineering teams to deploy production-ready solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience, Master's degree with 4+ years, or PhD with 2+ years in data science, computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, engineering, physics, operations research, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing data analysis, statistical analysis, and solving process or yield problems with data-driven methods.
• Experience with Python, JMP, SQL or other database query tools, and large datasets from manufacturing, equipment, metrology, or quality systems.
• Experience applying AI/ML, statistical methods, or predictive modeling to support engineering or business decisions.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, ownership, and technical leadership skills.
• Ability to work on-site and collaborate closely with factory and technology development teams in Phoenix, Arizona.

Nice to have

• Semiconductor manufacturing experience, especially assembly or advanced packaging.
• Knowledge of advanced process control, run-to-run control, SPC, excursion detection, and process monitoring.
• Experience with yield analysis, process capability improvement, root cause investigation, anomaly detection, prediction, clustering, or classification.
• Experience developing dashboards, reports, computer vision solutions, or automated inspection analysis tools.
• Previous experience in a semiconductor foundry.
