Senior Data Scientist (AI/ML)

Location: Onsite in Bentonville, Arkansas, United States

Salary: $90,000–$180,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Design, build, and deploy machine learning and agentic AI solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into scalable data products in partnership with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Develop models across supervised and unsupervised learning, NLP and LLMs, forecasting, optimization, trend analysis, and clustering.
• Manage the end-to-end model lifecycle, including data exploration, feature engineering, evaluation, productionization, monitoring, drift detection, and retraining.
• Design experiments, test hypotheses, interpret model responses, and provide business recommendations and insights.
• Mentor junior associates and influence technical direction across teams.

Requirements

• Must work at the Bentonville, Arkansas, United States location.
• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, economics, analytics, mathematics, computer science, information technology, or a related field plus 3 years of analytics experience; or a master’s degree plus 1 year of experience; or 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong foundations in statistics and machine learning, with experience building robust data pipelines and applying MLOps practices.
• Experience with LLMs, agent frameworks, tool use, planning, multi-step reasoning, and workflow orchestration.
• Ability to communicate model behavior, tradeoffs, and business impact to technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, Spark, Scala, or R.
• Experience with scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Torch, optimization models, or advanced data science applications.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices.
