Senior Data Scientist (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines, curated datasets, analytical products, and reporting layers using Python, SQL, and cloud data platforms.
• Develop dashboards and visual analytics for external supply, manufacturing, inventory, supplier performance, procurement, and operational trends.
• Apply statistical, analytical, predictive, and data science methods to identify patterns, support scenario analysis, and improve business decisions.
• Integrate structured and unstructured data from ERP, supply planning, procurement, manufacturing, quality, finance, and external partner systems.
• Partner with business stakeholders, manufacturing sites, contract manufacturing organizations, supply chain, finance, procurement, and information technology teams.
• Support scalable data architecture, automation, data governance, quality, documentation, validation, and sustainable analytics practices.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree, or a master's degree and 2 years of Data Scientist experience, or a bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience, with equivalent options for associate degree or high school diploma holders.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing, automation, analytics, data transformation, and large datasets.
• Experience with dashboards or visual analytics using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Experience with cloud data platforms, data engineering, ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, APIs, workflow orchestration, Git, and CI/CD concepts.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing, external supply, contract manufacturing, GMP operations, supplier management, material planning, or logistics.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, data lineage, stakeholder communication, and analytical solution delivery.

Nice to have

• Experience with Databricks, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, SAP, MES, LIMS, Veeva, procurement platforms, or external partner data sources.
• Experience developing forecasting, optimization, anomaly detection, machine learning, or advanced statistical models.
