Optical Manager, Licensed (Vision Center)

Location: On-site at 1300 Antioch Pike, Nashville, Tennessee, United States

Salary: $39.50–$51.50 per hour, plus potential premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour and performance-based bonus awards.

What you will do

• Drive Vision Center sales through merchandise presentation, competitive pricing, inventory management, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of customer and community needs.
• Provide direction on customer service and resolve customer and member concerns within company standards.
• Oversee community outreach and encourage Associates to contribute to the local community.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, safety controls, asset protection standards, and quality assurance procedures.
• Hire, train, mentor, schedule, recognize, and develop Vision Center Associates while fostering an inclusive workplace.
• Consult with customers, select eyewear, obtain measurements, verify prescriptions, maintain confidential records, perform minor frame repairs, and maintain optical equipment.

Requirements

• Completion of two or more years of college, or qualifying combinations of retail, supervisory, general work, and optical experience.
• Maintain an active state license and/or registration, including continuing education requirements.
• Maintain an NPI number and Optician in Charge status as required by state regulations.
• Preferred experience includes supervising Associates.
• Work on-site at the Nashville, Tennessee Sam’s Club location.
