Licensed Optician - Assistant Manager (Optical Retail)

What you will do

• Drive sales, profitability, performance goals, operating costs, budgets, and resources according to company standards.
• Oversee the eyeglass department, ensuring efficient operations, policy compliance, quality standards, and continuous improvement.
• Supervise, motivate, coach, and mentor opticians and other store associates.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure associates meet service expectations.
• Execute merchandising, marketing, pricing promotions, and company initiatives.
• Support staffing forecasts, recruiting, selection, retention, and daily store operations with the General Manager.

Requirements

• Maintain the optical license required by the state.
• Optical sales experience; supervisory experience is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and build strong associate relationships.
• Understanding of store operations, financial reports, organization, and problem-solving.
• Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
• ABO and NCLE certification required.
