Location: Palo Alto, California, United States; the role covers an assigned hospital territory and requires regular attendance at hospital operating rooms and catheter lab procedures.
Base pay: $95,000–$152,950 annually. The posting also lists a $155,000 base pay amount and eligibility for sales incentive compensation.

What you will do
- Develop and execute sales strategies for Shockwave products across the assigned hospital territory.
- Build relationships with physicians, hospital personnel, and key decision-makers to identify clinical and commercial needs.
- Educate customers through product presentations, demonstrations, and clinical discussions.
- Provide case coverage in catheter labs and operating rooms, advising physicians and staff on product usage.
- Achieve territory sales and revenue objectives while managing time, resources, budgets, and account plans.
- Partner with clinical, marketing, research and development, and other business units to identify and develop selling opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- At least two years of territory manager experience in hospital-based life sciences, preferably cardiovascular, or three years of cardiovascular or interventional sales support experience.
- Experience with catheter technology, endovascular procedures, atherectomy, stents, or coronary sales is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently, achieve sales plans, and build relationships with hospitals and physicians.
- Must not be debarred by the FDA from working in a medical device business.
- Valid driver’s license required; the role may involve prolonged sitting and lifting objects weighing 25 pounds or more.
Nice to have
- Cardiovascular or peripheral vascular sales experience.
- Experience with occlusive vascular disease, interventional cardiology, or vascular surgery.
- Skills in lead generation, consultative selling, cross-selling, market research, and hospital operations.
