Grad Intern – Software Engineer – Amgen’s Technology & Medical Organizations (Summer 2027)

Location: Remote within the United States; candidates must be located in the U.S. for the duration of the internship and authorized to work in the U.S.

Salary: $35.34–$41.20 per hour

What you will do

• Develop, test, debug, and document application components.
• Apply software development, configuration, and design techniques.
• Transform basic business processes into programming logic.
• Develop project plans and support software projects.
• Produce reliable, maintainable, and self-documenting code aligned with development standards.

Requirements

• Be located in the United States throughout the internship and be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be at least 18 years old and hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Be enrolled in the first year of an accredited master's, MBA, PharmD, or Ph.D. program before the internship begins.
• Be available for a full-time schedule and remain enrolled after the internship or co-op.
• Have a basic understanding of software development methodologies and techniques.
• Be prepared to accept and commit to future full-time employment by July 2028 if offered.

Nice to have

• Relevant concentration in information technology, computer science, engineering, business, or a related field.
• At least one year of relevant work experience or experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, or SQL.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, SDLC processes, software development, database modeling, web development, cloud-based applications, or enterprise systems.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus project management, analytical, and quantitative skills.
