Sr Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, debug, document, and maintain software for the HRS Platform.
• Integrate AI-assisted development tools, including code generation, agentic coding assistants, AI-powered code review, and test generation.
• Manage context engineering and harness engineering to produce reliable, high-quality results from agentic tools.
• Review requirements, write design documents, conduct code reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Lead or co-lead projects and design efforts, provide demos and training, and mentor engineers on responsible AI tool usage.
• Recommend refactoring, process improvements, technologies, and emerging AI-driven development practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software development or software engineering.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Devin AI, or similar tools.
• Experience managing agent instructions, skills, and harnesses to achieve production-quality results.
• Proficiency with modern backend stacks such as Go, Java, Python, TypeScript/Node, Vanilla JavaScript, or Preact.
• Experience with REST APIs, RDBMS DDL and SQL, ORM frameworks, CSS, AWS or other cloud infrastructure, Git, and continuous integration.
• Knowledge of OAuth2 and OIDC authentication and security protocols, plus experience delivering predictable, high-quality software.

Nice to have

• Experience working in a Kanban environment.
• Experience building or integrating LLM-powered product features such as RAG, agents, and tool use, with observability instrumentation.
• Experience with Terraform, infrastructure as code, and platform engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
