What you will do

• Provide engineering support for plant operations and maintenance, including equipment troubleshooting and startup and shutdown activities.
• Perform root cause analysis and develop corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and reduce recurring failures.
• Monitor turbine and auxiliary system performance to identify opportunities affecting availability, heat rate, and efficiency.
• Execute reliability and condition monitoring programs, including vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and controls diagnostics.
• Maintain configuration control, drawings, procedures, engineering records, and Management of Change documentation.
• Coordinate capital projects, plant modifications, maintenance work, vendors, contractors, and regulatory compliance activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program and at least two years of related engineering experience, or an equivalent military background.
• A master’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program may qualify candidates for entry at this level.
• Alternative education paths include a non-ABET engineering bachelor’s degree plus an eligible master’s degree or PhD, or a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology.
• Strong experience in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, equipment reliability, and plant performance improvement.
• Knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, performance monitoring tools, industry codes, standards, and technical documentation.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is preferred.
