Mgr Regional Elec Ops

Location: Newark, Delaware, United States; onsite. The role may require extended hours during storms and other energy delivery emergencies.

Salary: $127,200–$174,900 per year, plus a 20% annual bonus for eligible positions.

What you will do

• Lead regional electric distribution operations, construction, maintenance, repair, replacement, and system reinforcement activities.
• Direct outage response, storm restoration, distribution switching, and operating contingency planning.
• Manage the Overhead, Underground, Operating, and Construction and Maintenance functions to deliver safe and reliable work plans.
• Set and monitor safety, productivity, reliability, customer service, and financial objectives.
• Lead, coach, and develop operating and construction personnel, including performance reviews and growth planning.
• Manage regional budgets, labor strategies, contractor relationships, and local union relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 7–10 years of related experience, including at least 4 years of managerial or supervisory experience; alternatively, 9–12 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of electric distribution systems, collective bargaining agreements, environmental requirements, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in distribution or transmission construction and maintenance, business-unit management, budget control, and system operations.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, performance management, negotiation, consensus-building, communication, and change-management skills.
• Ability to improve safety, productivity, customer relations, and reliability performance and to manage emergency-response expenditures.
• Ability to work extended hours during storms and other energy delivery emergencies.

Nice to have

• Graduate degree or graduate-level coursework in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
• Experience with DSO or TSO system operations.
• Experience managing labor relations strategies and working with contractors or partnering organizations.
