Electrical and Instrument Supervisor (Power Generation)

Location: Ronkonkoma, New York, United States; onsite industrial power generation environment with scheduled on-call, weekend, night, outage, and shift coverage.

Salary: $97,481–$134,010 annually.

What you will do

• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly electrical and instrumentation maintenance plans and schedules.
• Supervise non-exempt maintenance personnel and provide daily work direction.
• Plan and oversee work scopes, labor, materials, cost estimates, schedules, execution, and backlog management.
• Support PLCs, data acquisition systems, instrumentation, controls, and related plant equipment.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, contractors, and plant leadership on planning and equipment challenges.
• Support planned and unplanned outages, improve reliability, reduce downtime and repair costs, and serve as backup to the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

• At least five years of power plant maintenance experience.
• Extensive knowledge of industrial electrical generation and distribution systems.
• Experience with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems for industrial process equipment.
• Experience with industrial PLCs, instrumentation and controls, data acquisition systems, and CEMS equipment.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, job setup, execution, backlog management, and CMMS systems such as Maximo or PeopleSoft.
• Ability to work safely in an operating industrial environment and perform physical duties including climbing, kneeling, entering boilers, and wearing a full-face respirator.
