Project Manager (Heavy Civil Infrastructure)

Salary: $115,000–$210,000 per year ($55–$101 per hour)

What you will do

• Lead assigned projects or task orders from planning and design through construction, commissioning, closeout, and transition to maintenance.
• Manage scope, budget, schedule, risk, cost forecasts, CPM schedule updates, and earned value reporting.
• Oversee designers and contractors, administer construction contracts, and manage submittals, requests for information, progress payments, extensions, changes, and claims.
• Coordinate agencies, utility owners, railroads, adjacent contracts, and other third parties across complex infrastructure programs.
• Oversee construction staging, phasing, quality, safety, commissioning, and operations readiness.
• Report project status, risks, and forecasts to program leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, construction engineering, engineering management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of project management experience on large, complex, heavy-civil infrastructure projects valued above $500 million.
• Experience managing scope, budget, schedule, and risk on capital projects from design through construction and closeout.
• Working knowledge of construction contract administration, change management, claims, submittals, requests for information, and progress payments.
• Experience coordinating designers, contractors, agencies, utility owners, and other third parties.
• Experience with project and construction management software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, Unifier, or Kahua, plus Microsoft Office 365.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, construction engineering, or engineering management.
• PMP, CCM, PE, or other active professional certifications and licenses.
• Experience as an owner’s project manager for contract packages exceeding $100 million in construction value.
• Experience managing multiple task orders or contract packages on programs exceeding $1 billion in construction value.
• Experience supervising or mentoring project managers, engineers, and controls staff, or using Power BI and Oracle Cloud Analytics.
