Health Benefit Representative (Healthcare Enrollment)

Location: Bronx, New York, with field-based travel across Bronx County, including the Bronx, Manhattan, and Queens

Salary: $23.23–$39.61 per hour

What you will do

• Educate consumers about Medicaid, Child Health Plus, Essential Plan, Qualified Health Plans, and Health & Recovery Plans available through the NY State of Health Marketplace.
• Assist uninsured individuals and existing members with applications, renewals, recertifications, required documentation, and premium payments.
• Explain eligibility, tax credits, cost-sharing reductions, deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance, and Marketplace metal tiers.
• Conduct community education activities, presentations, workshops, forums, and enrollment events.
• Track applications and leads, complete follow-ups, and record dispositions and enrollment information in CRM and Salesforce systems.
• Protect confidential and protected health information while following ACA, regulatory, privacy, and conflict-of-interest requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to accurately enter applicant, enrollment, and primary care provider data.
• Two or more years of experience in managed care, sales, customer service, healthcare, enrollment counseling, health navigation, or a related field is preferred.
• Must be comfortable with field-based travel across the Bronx, Manhattan, and Queens.
• Driver’s license is preferred for New York City counties and mandatory for non-New York City counties.
• Must complete and pass the NY State of Health approved training program and required annual recertification courses.

Nice to have

• Bilingual English and Arabic skills are highly preferred.
• English and Urdu, Hindi, or Spanish bilingual skills.
• Customer-facing sales, community outreach, and public speaking experience.
