Director, IT Operations and Cybersecurity

Location: Woburn, United States; hybrid work with on-site attendance at least 2 days per week

Salary: $202,000–$261,500 annual base pay, plus performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the organization’s IT operations and cybersecurity strategy.
• Oversee enterprise infrastructure, technology services, service delivery, and operational performance.
• Partner with executives and business stakeholders to align technology investments with organizational priorities and risk tolerance.
• Build, mentor, and lead high-performing IT and cybersecurity teams.
• Manage cybersecurity programs, risk management, regulatory compliance, incident response, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
• Manage technology budgets, vendors, strategic partnerships, and continuous improvement across research, clinical, manufacturing, quality, commercial, and corporate functions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive IT and cybersecurity leadership experience.
• Experience leading technology strategy, infrastructure, operations, and security programs in complex, regulated, and research-driven environments.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, team leadership, and vendor management skills.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise and cloud security architecture, identity and access management, data protection, detection and response, and vulnerability management.
• Experience with regulatory and assurance frameworks, regulatory inspections, and GxP audits.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical, life sciences, quality, or related field.

Nice to have

• Experience in biotechnology, life sciences, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals.
• CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or cloud security credentials.
