Manager - Distribution Engineering (Electrical Distribution)

Location: Orange, Connecticut, United States. Work type: Office-based.

Salary: $140,000–$176,000 annually, plus up to 16% performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Lead, guide, and evaluate an engineering team responsible for electric distribution infrastructure.
• Oversee investigations, engineering analyses, design concepts, alternatives, action plans, and approval presentations.
• Direct engineering work for the repair, replacement, maintenance, and construction of distribution systems.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects, outside engineering firms, contractors, and other company departments.
• Develop team goals, strategies, processes, policies, and standards in coordination with senior management.
• Support storm restoration, escalated customer and regulatory issues, and technical presentations to corporate, regulatory, and public entities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in the power industry.
• Completion of the Engineer-in-Training examination.
• Knowledge of power systems engineering design and strong project management, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, conceptual thinking, multitasking, and training abilities.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; applicable immigration requirements apply to non-citizens.
