Electrical Engineer/Engineering Technologist

Location: On-site in New Albany, Ohio, United States

Salary: $84,000–$151,000 per year, depending on compensation grade.

What you will do

• Perform entry-level engineering analysis and support assigned power system projects.
• Apply engineering theory to well-defined problems involving generation, transmission, distribution, substations, and protection systems.
• Use or develop familiarity with power flow, simulations, SCADA, state estimation, and contingency analysis tools.
• Support project planning, scheduling, cost estimation, status monitoring, and technical reporting.
• Provide real-time operational support, communicate technical information, and contribute to team decisions.

Requirements

• On-site work in New Albany, Ohio, United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program, or an acceptable alternative degree pathway.
• Knowledge of power systems, including substation equipment and protective relaying devices.
• For higher compensation grades, 2–8+ years of related engineering experience and, where applicable, a master’s degree or PhD.
• Professional Engineer registration in a U.S. state or Puerto Rico is preferred for senior and principal levels.

Nice to have

• Electrical engineering specialization.
• Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination.
• Experience with power flow simulations, state estimation tools, contingency analysis, and identifying solutions to contingencies.
