Distribution Design Engineer (Entry, Staff, Senior, or Principal)

Salary: $70,000–$156,600 per year, depending on level and experience.

What you will do

• Develop and support engineering designs, calculations, testing documentation, reports, standards, and procedures.
• Provide technical support for operations, maintenance, testing, diagnostics, regulatory activities, commissioning, and inspections.
• Coordinate or lead engineering projects and project phases including research, design, equipment selection, procurement support, installation, and commissioning.
• Support bid and proposal evaluations through technical analysis and calculations.
• Communicate technical information with internal business areas, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate interns, drafters, technicians, and other personnel while supporting project budgeting, estimating, forecasting, accounting, and work-order management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited curriculum; electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred.
• Relevant experience requirements range from 0+ years for Entry Engineer to 15+ years without PE registration for Principal Engineer.
• EIT/FE is preferred for Entry and Staff levels and required for Senior level candidates with 5+ years of experience.
• PE registration is required for Principal Engineer candidates with 9+ years of experience and may be required for Senior Engineer candidates depending on business needs.
• Work is based in Lubbock, Texas.
