Manager, System Planning, Transmission Reliability

Location: Westwood, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid schedule. The role covers Eversource's three-state service territory. Emergency restoration assignments may require work outside normal responsibilities, hours, and location.

Annual salary: $176,920.00–$196,580.00, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Manage the Special Studies team within Transmission System Planning, covering future grid scenarios, essential reliability services, public policy impacts, resiliency, and transmission reinforcement.
• Lead complex electric power system analyses and develop plans for transmission system expansion, reliability, and operational performance.
• Manage technical projects with significant impacts on transmission system design, engineering, construction, operation, and economics.
• Develop technical positions, policies, standards, regulatory filings, presentations, and written comments for committees and proceedings.
• Represent Eversource with ISO-NE, NEPOOL, RTO committees, government organizations, industry groups, and professional societies.
• Set team goals, budgets, resource levels, performance objectives, and staff development programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Ten years of experience in transmission system planning, engineering, or related operations management, including supervisory experience.
• Thorough knowledge of electric transmission planning, system analysis applications and modeling, operations support, budgeting, and project analysis.
• Thorough knowledge of transmission power system protection and control systems.
• Demonstrated leadership in strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, technical communication, and people management.
