Staff Product Designer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in New York City, United States

Salary: $180,000–$250,000 total compensation, including base salary and bonus

What you will do

• Design complex AI-enabled workflows for third-party vendor risk assessments, automated security questionnaires, and continuous monitoring.
• Conduct usability testing and synthesize product and behavioral analytics to guide design iterations.
• Design enterprise experiences involving role-based access control, multi-tenant environments, dense data, and advanced filtering.
• Build interactive AI-assisted prototypes grounded in the existing codebase and design system using Claude.
• Contribute to an accessible, machine-readable design system and promote AI prototyping practices across the design team.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to turn ambiguous briefs into evidence-based solutions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product design experience, including 3+ years designing B2B SaaS experiences in a platform environment.
• Portfolio demonstrating high-complexity interfaces, analytics dashboards, permissions management, deep system nesting, and independently shipped work.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude to build interactive prototypes grounded in an existing codebase and design system.
• Experience contributing to design systems and strong fluency with Figma and AI-assisted design tooling.
• Experience with cognitive load, decision-making frameworks, usability testing, product analytics, and WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards.
• Hybrid work in New York City is required. Immigration sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Cybersecurity, Third-Party Risk Management, or Governance, Risk, and Compliance experience.
• Experience designing trustworthy AI-enabled features that fail gracefully and keep users in control.
• Front-end experience with shipped HTML, CSS, and component code.
