What you will do

• Support Energy Management System and Distribution Management System reliability applications, processes, data, and solution integrity.
• Support State Estimator functionality across the PJM, SPP, and ERCOT regions.
• Monitor and resolve data and model quality issues affecting real-time system reliability.
• Troubleshoot EMS power-flow solution iteration results and analyze grid operations applications.
• Verify modeling integrity in assigned areas according to capital and O&M work plans.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and respond to System Control Center support needs.

Requirements

• Entry-level position for a new graduate with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Fundamental knowledge of electrical engineering theory and the ability to analyze well-defined technical problems with guidance.
• Understanding or developing familiarity with applicable standards, codes, regulations, equipment, systems, and business processes.
• Ability to communicate clearly, work collaboratively, follow established plans, and make routine decisions under supervision.
• Availability to participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Energy Management Systems, system reliability, grid operations, planning, or modeling.
• Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination in preparation for future Professional Engineer licensing.
