Health Benefit Rep (Healthcare)

Location: Fairport-Rochester Regional Office, Fairport, New York; community field-based travel covering Monroe County, NY

Salary: $23.23–$39.61 per hour

What you will do

• Educate and assist consumers with enrollment in Medicaid, Child Health Plus, Essential Plan, Qualified Health Plans, and Health & Recovery Plans through the NY State of Health Marketplace.
• Explain eligibility, premium tax credits, cost-sharing reductions, plan features, metal tiers, deductibles, co-pays, and co-insurance.
• Support members with renewals, recertifications, premium payments, document submission, and Fidelis digital tools.
• Conduct community education, presentations, ACA forums, workshops, and events across Monroe County.
• Follow up on enrollment leads and maintain accurate applicant, enrollment, PCP selection, and activity data in Salesforce and other required CRM tools.
• Protect confidential information and comply with ACA, regulatory, conflict-of-interest, privacy, and security standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience is preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in managed care, sales, customer service, healthcare, enrollment counseling, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to provide culturally and linguistically appropriate assistance; bilingual English/Spanish ability is highly preferred.
• Must be able to travel in the field across Monroe County, NY; a driver's license is mandatory for non-NYC counties.
• Must complete and pass the NY State of Health approved training program and annual Marketplace Facilitated Enroller recertification requirements.
